Top 10 Things to Do While Staying at the Viking Resort

Enjoy our 1,000 feet of private lake front -

We have more lake front footage than any other hotel, motel, or B&B in the Finger Lakes. This means plenty of open spaces for sunbathing, reading, or just watching the sunset. Keuka Lake is one of the cleanest and warmest of the finger lakes- it's perfect for swimming. Charcoal grills and picnic tables make lakeside meals a breeze. Fishing is great right from our covered piers or from one of our fee rowboats. Fishing licenses and bait are just one mile away. Ask about our boat rentals, too!

Make new friends at our nightly bonfire on the beach

Take advantage of our badminton/volleyball court
Ask for rackets, birdies, and a volleyball at the office.
Walk under waterfalls at Watkins Glen State Park.
Hike some of the beautiful gorges and glens of the Finger Lakes. Several are within walking distance of the Viking.

Visit any of the 13 wineries on Keuka Lake

From award winning ice wines to famous sparkling wines, from sweet dessert wines to the driest cabernet, rest assured you can find a wine to please even the most discriminating palate.

Hike or bike the scenic Keuka Outlet Trail
Recently named one of the 25 best hiking trails in the Northeast, this 6 mile trail follows the stream of water that empties Keuka Lake into Seneca Lake.
Browse the Windmill Farm & Craft Market
Featuring local goods from over 250 vendors, the Windmill is New York State's first and finest farm and craft market. Open Saturdays only from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
Discover the Glenn Curtiss Museum
See how Curtiss built a small bicycle shop into the world's largest aircraft firm. Right here at the Viking we have a completely restored 16-foot 1927 mahogany runabout built by Airships Incorporated in Hammondsport, one of Curtiss' shops.
Spend a day at the Corning Museum of Glass
The Associated Press calls CMOG "...a jaw dropping jewel!"
Savor unique Finger Lakes cuisine
There are six restaurants directly on the shores of Keuka Lake, plus many more in the area from home cooked food to gourmet fare. Most menus are available at the office for your inspection. We can even help you make a selection and call ahead for reservations
